Description
Compatible with – Designed for secure storage and charging of Lithium Ion batteries weighing up to 25kg, including power tools, garden equipment, e-bikes, e-scooters, drones, laptops, and mobile phones. Refer to the capacity table for maximum storage limits per model.
Internal fire resistance – Meets VDMA 24994:2024-08 certification standards with single battery capacity ranging from 2280Wh (BS1946) to 2500Wh (BS1941-BS1945), and combined storage capacity from 2500Wh (BS1941) up to 12500Wh (BS1945). Model-specific capacities are detailed in the accompanying table.
External fire resistance – Complies with EN 14470-1 standard, providing 90-minute external fire protection. Holds NT Fire 017-120p certification for 120-minute external fire resistance.*
Impact resistance – Subjected to fire and impact testing from 9.1-metre height to verify structural integrity when exposed to building collapse scenarios.
Battery charging – Integrated power outlets enable safe charging of Lithium batteries—see capacity table for specifications. Additional PDUs can be installed via the pre-configured control box. Consult a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with 13-amp circuit capacity. Upgrades to additional 13 AMP circuits or Three Phase power available (price on application).
Air circulation – Standard air extraction ducting included for enhanced ventilation. External ducting connection strongly advised for optimal safety and fume extraction during thermal runaway events.
Internal storage – Equipped with fire-resistant, height-adjustable shelving with reinforced construction supporting loads up to 100kg per shelf.
Digital Monitoring & Safety System
Heat detection – External warning indicator provides early detection of battery temperature issues. The control system automatically disconnects charging power and activates audible alerts when internal temperatures exceed safe thresholds.
Access monitoring – Door-mounted sensors prevent operation with open doors. Chargers are automatically disabled and an audible warning activates if doors remain unsealed.
Fire system integration – Compatible with building fire alarm networks to trigger emergency response protocols and alert fire services.
Alert system – Equipped with visual strobe and audible siren that activate during overheat or thermal runaway detection. Charging circuits are immediately isolated until safe operating conditions resume.
Safety signage – Displays compliant warning labels per ISO 3864, ISO 7010, and European directive 92/58/EEC standards.
Secure closure – Reinforced multi-point locking mechanism ensures doors remain sealed even during severe battery failures or explosions.
Structural design – Dual-wall safe construction featuring our proprietary Styronite F insulation delivers exceptional strength and thermal resistance, providing superior protection against internal explosive forces during thermal runaway.
Mobility base – Includes a wheeled plinth for easy repositioning and emergency building evacuation. Finished with aesthetic front panel for professional appearance.

Security Options
BS1940K – Premium key-operated lock system supplied with duplicate keys.
BS1940E – Advanced digital lock featuring LED interface, dual-control function, concealed code option, and scrambled entry. Upgradeable to multi-user audit logging for access tracking.
BS1940F – Premium touchscreen and biometric fingerprint system with LED display, power indicator, internal alert, multiple user codes, dual-mode operation, concealed and scrambled code options, supporting up to 32 fingerprint registrations.
