SPECIFICATIONS

• SUITABLE FOR – The storage and charging of all Lithium Ion batteries up 25kgs, such as – power tools, garden tools, e-bikes/scooters, drones, laptop, mobile phone. Maximum storage capacities are listed in the table.
• FIRE PROTECTION (INSIDE TO OUTSIDE) – VDMA 24994:2024-08 Certified for a maximum single battery of 2500Wh (BS1941-BS1945) to 2280Wh (BS1946) and total capacity from 2500Wh (BS1941) to 12500Wh (BS1945). See table for detailed capacity per model.
• FIRE PROTECTION (OUTSIDE TO INSIDE) – Tested to EN 14470-1 – Fire protection for 90 minutes from outside to in. NT Fire 017-120p certified – Fire protection for 120 minutes from outside to in.*
• DROP TEST – Fire and impact tested from 9.1 metres for resistance to the impact of falling through the burning floors of a building.
• CHARGING –Safely charge your Lithium batteries using the fitted power points – see table for details, with the option to add further PDUs to the pre-wired control box. Always check with your electrician to be sure not to  overload your 13amp mains supply. Further 13 AMP Mains Supply or Three Phase can be added (POA).
• VENTILATION – Fitted as standard with air exhaust duct, for added ventilation. Dedicated ducting to the outside is also strongly recommended for the most secure and safe extraction in the event of thermal runaway.
• SHELVING – Supplied with reinforced and insulated height adjustable shelves capable of carrying 100kg at a time.

ELECTRONIC MONITORING AND CONTROL UNIT

• INTERNAL TEMPERATURE MONITOR – For safety, the cabinet comes as standard with an external temperature warning lamp, that gives an early warning of a potential issue with a battery overheating. In the event of excessive heat inside the cabinet, the control unit immediately cuts power to chargers and sounds an alarm.
• DOOR ALARM – The doors are fitted with sensors to prevent the doors being left open. In the event the doors are left open, the power will be cut, and no charging will take place. A buzzer will also sound to warn you.
• FIRE ALARM CONNECTION – The control unit can be connected to the building fire alarm to trigger the building system and alert the fire brigade.
• SIREN & STROBE – The unit is fitted with a siren and strobe light that is triggered in the event of overheat or thermal runaway. Power to the cabinet will also be cut and no charging will take place until the cabinet is back in normal working range.
• WARNING LABELS – Fitted with warning labels in accordance with ISO 3864 and ISO 7010, as well as the European directive 92/58/EEC.
• MULTIPOINT LOCKING – Fitted with an advanced reinforced multipoint locking system that securely seal the doors. Even in the event of the most severe battery explosion, the doors will remain securely closed.
• CONSTRUCTION – Double wall safe construction with internal fill of our patented Styronite F insulation, provides a safe of great strength and fire/heat resistance, for maximum protection against internal explosion caused during thermal runaway.
• PLINTH – to allow easy movability and removal from the building in the event of a fire situation. The plinth is supplied with a front cover to provide a neat exterior finish.
• 2 YEAR GUARANTEE – Two year materials and labour warranty.

LOCKING OPTIONS

• BS1940K – Fitted with a high quality key lock with two keys.
• BS1940E – Fitted with an advanced high security electronic lock with clear LED display, dual control, hidden code and scrambled code that can be programmed as standard. The lock can further be upgraded to incorporate multiple user audit trail so that user’s usage can be monitored.
• BS1940F – Fitted with an advanced high security touchscreen keypad & fingerprint lock with clear LED display, battery Indicator, internal alarm, multi user codes, dual mode, hidden code and scrambled code that can be programmed as standard with up to 32 fingerprints.
