The Phoenix Battery Commander Pro BS1943 is a purpose-designed lithium battery storage and charging cabinet for businesses that need a safer, controlled environment for storing and charging lithium-ion batteries.
Designed for commercial and industrial environments, the Battery Commander Pro provides dedicated storage for rechargeable batteries commonly used with power tools, electrical equipment, e-bikes, mobility equipment, drones, and other battery-powered devices.
The BS1943 range features a choice of locks including standard key locking, electronic locking, or a more sophisticated fingerprint lock. It provides approximately 199 litres of internal storage capacity, with a maximum battery capacity of 7,500 Wh. The cabinet is supplied with a 4-way electrical power strip, allowing compatible lithium-ion batteries to be charged within the cabinet.
The Battery Commander Pro range has been tested and certified in accordance with VDMA 24994:2024-08, a recognised standard covering fire-protection requirements for the storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries. The cabinet is designed to help businesses manage the risks associated with lithium-ion battery storage and charging, including the potential for thermal runaway.
The cabinet incorporates safety monitoring and warning features designed to provide an additional level of protection during battery storage and charging. Heat and smoke development can be detected, whilst visual and audible warnings can alert users to potential issues. A ventilation system helps manage heat generated during normal operation, with provision for connection to an additional fan or external extraction system where required.
