The Phoenix Battery Commander Pro BS1946 is a high-capacity lithium-ion battery storage and charging cabinet designed for businesses and organisations that need to safely store and charge substantial quantities of rechargeable batteries.
As a Size 6 Battery Commander Pro, the BS1946 is the largest cabinet in the BS1940 Series and provides an impressive 22,500Wh battery capacity alongside 569 litres of internal storage capacity. Its large format makes it particularly suitable for industrial, commercial and workplace environments where significant quantities of lithium-ion batteries need to be stored and charged in one dedicated location.
The BS1946 is fitted with a choice of lock options allowing access to the stored batteries to be controlled.
Lithium Battery Storage & Charging
The Battery Commander Pro range has been developed specifically for the storage and charging of lithium-ion batteries, helping businesses manage the risks associated with damaged, defective or overheating batteries and potential thermal runaway.
The BS1946 is supplied with 5 x 8-gang power distribution units (PDUs), providing multiple charging points for compatible lithium-ion batteries within the cabinet.
The cabinet is fitted with an air exhaust duct as standard to provide additional ventilation. Dedicated ducting to the outside is also strongly recommended to provide additional extraction in the event of thermal runaway.
The cabinet also incorporates reinforced and insulated height-adjustable shelving, with each shelf capable of carrying up to 100kg.
Fire & Impact Protection
The BS1946 is designed to help protect people and property from the potentially serious consequences of lithium battery fires.
The cabinet has been fire and impact tested from 9.1 metres, providing resistance to the impact associated with falling through burning floors within a building.
